SNAP Calculator is an independent website and calculation tool designed to help people estimate their potential SNAP (food stamp) eligibility and benefit amount. Who Built SNAP Calculator
Hi, I’m Akash Biswas, the founder of SNAP Calculator.
I created this site because SNAP eligibility rules can be difficult to work through. Depending on where you live and your circumstances, eligibility can involve household size, gross income, net income, deductions, assets, disability or elderly status, and state-specific rules.
I run SNAP Calculator with help from a small team that researches and reviews SNAP-related information. We turn publicly available federal and state guidance into calculators and plain-language guides that are easier to use.
I am an independent developer and site operator, not a government employee or representative. Our information is based on publicly available government sources, and we aim to keep it updated when official rules, income limits, deductions, or benefit amounts change.

Why This Site Exists
SNAP applications and eligibility rules can be difficult to understand, and some people may decide not to apply because they assume they will not qualify.
I created SNAP Calculator to provide a fast, free, no-account-required way to estimate potential SNAP eligibility and benefits before spending time on a full application.
The goal is not to replace the official SNAP system. It is to make publicly available rules and figures easier to understand and use.
